If you’re sexually active, it is good to know the signs of early pregnancy. So, if and when the time comes, you will know the signs.

Early signs of pregnancy:

First Sign: a missed period. If you’re not under a lot of stress, are sexually active, and your period is more than a week late, you might be pregnant. Although, if your cycle is irregular, this might not be the case for you.

Second Sign: tender and swollen breasts. Since your hormone levels increase when a woman gets pregnant, a woman’s breasts might be sensitive and sore. The initial discomfort of this eventually subsided after a few weeks.

Third Sign: nausea. This may or may not come with vomiting. Morning sickness, which is often misleading because it can strike at any time of the day or night, often introduces itself approximately one month after pregnancy. Suddenly something you have every morning, like coffee, might make you sick.

Fourth Sign: increased urination. If you find yourself using the bathroom more to pee, you might be pregnant. When a woman gets pregnant, the amount of blood in her body increases, which causes the kidneys to process extra fluid that ends up in your bladder.

Fifth Sign: fatigue. Because the hormone called progesterone levels significantly increase during pregnancy, many women find themselves struggling with sleepiness and fatigue.

Additional signs and symptoms may include:

· Moodiness, including frequent mood swings.

· Bloating

· Light spotting, this sometimes happens when the fertilized egg attaches to the uterus; this is implantation bleeding. Along with the light bleeding, some women experience mild uterine cramping early in pregnancy.

· Constipation.

· Food aversions, certain odors may cause you to avoid different food, and your sense of taste might change.

· Nasal congestion. The increase in blood production can cause the mucous membranes in your nose to swell, causing your nasal to dry out and bleed easily.

Many of these signs and symptoms are not unique to a pregnancy and merely indicate a cold or that your cycle is about to start.
